MONTANA AUTHOR MAE SCHICK
About Montana author Mae Schick
Missoula, Montana, wasn’t at the end of civilization, but it wasn’t far from its edge. It was a lumber town, with a nearby Indian reservation, and a state university.
A girl could grow up the and was expected to do the right thing. Get married, make babies and cakes, attend church regularly, instead of going off to college and protesting wars.
My stories center around women at the beginning of self-discovery. Through life events and unexpected journeys, their eye opening experiences ultimately lead them to greater independence and autonomy.

My short stories include: Mrs. Andersson, Sophie Writes from Montana, Nora takes a Chance, Mirna, and Lizzie.
The Mae Schick books can be ordered on Amazon ebooks separately, while A Life of Her Own and Lookout Woman can be ordered in print.
